Laura Del Col Brown

Maybe you've come here in the mistaken belief that I'm a writer. Maybe you've heard about me because of my run-ins with the SEEN Network or other bigots. Or maybe you found my site through a shared interest in kanji, Fukuyama Masaharu or sumo.

Whatever the case, please stay as long as you need. This site is written by a human, only uses essential cookies and will never ask you to sign up to a mailing list.

I grew up in West Virginia, but have lived in the UK since 2000. I became a British citizen in 2009 and renounced U.S. citizenship in 2023. I live with my husband in the Metro-land area of London.

My surname is Brown. Del Col is my maiden name, and comes from the Friuli–Venezia Giulia region of Italy. I'm happy to be referred to by either she/her or they/them pronouns.

I don't take commissions or allow reproduction of my work, I'm not currently speaking to the media and I'd prefer not to receive feedback. If you enjoy something on this site, please tell one other person about it and consider making a donation to Gendered Intelligence or the Bat Conservation Trust.
